Trayce Jackson-Davis made another piece of history for the IU men's basketball team on Wednesday as he became the third player in program history to record a triple-double in the team's win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers. It was a night that also featured big performances from Tamar Bates and Trey Galloway, too, as the Hoosiers bounced back from their loss to Rutgers.
On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) recaps the exciting win, which served as a palette cleanser following the loss to Rutgers. IU's depth finally showed up in a meaningful game, perhaps the biggest positive takeaway from this contest.
Galloway and Bates had the biggest nights with 20 and 19 points, respectively, and proved, at least for one night, to be reliable options from beyond the arc. Miller Kopp also continued his consistent production while Xavier Johnson had a second consecutive dud of a performance.
The show wraps by previewing Thursday's Indiana women's basketball game against Penn State as the Hoosiers look to remain undefeated. However, they'll go up against one of the top players in the Big Ten Conference in Makenna Marisa.
