The Big Ten Conference announced it's preseason awards for men's basketball and Trayce Jackson-Davis was named Player of the Year heading into the year. TJD is the first Indiana Hoosiers to earn the honor since Cody Zeller in the 2012-13 season.
On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) looks at the Big Ten All-Conference Preseason team, one which Jackson-Davis was unanimously selected to. Xavier Johnson's notable omission from the team is hardly explainable.
After a frustrating loss last week, IU football returns this week to host the Michigan Wolverines in search of a large upset. Indiana broke it's streak of losses to Michigan in 2020, but the last meeting between the two teams was an ugly loss last year as the Hoosiers reeled late in the season.
The show wraps by looking at the noteworthy storylines heading into the contest, including what type of IU team we'll see once the ball is kicked off. For Indiana to have a chance, Cam Camper and DJ Matthews must be available and IU must show vast improvement.
