The IU basketball team dropped their first game of the season to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Saturday in frustrating and blowout fashion. Jalen Hood-Schifino's absence and Trayce Jackson-Davis' struggles were key factors in the Hoosiers falling in the Big Ten Conference road opener.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) recaps another loss to Rutgers basketball on Saturday that felt awfully familiar to last season. With 3-point shooting struggles and bench depth that disappeared yet again, there are some discouraging signs starting to form.

The biggest positive news of the weekend, though, was the IU men's soccer team returning to the College Cup for the 22nd time in 50 seasons on Saturday evening. IU controlled the game from start to finish, converting a pair of chances and keeping UNC-Greensboro from creating much on the night either.

The show wraps by recapping a nail-biting win for IU women's basketball against the Illinois Fighting Illini on Sunday afternoon. Mackenzie Holmes carried IU to a win again down the stretch, outdueling Makira Cook to earn the win.
