One night after the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team made a big statement, the women's team made an even louder one with a demolition of No. 6 UNC. Behind big games from Mackenzie Holmes and Sydney Parrish, IU opened up a big lead and never looked back to blow out North Carolina.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) recaps the win that was made even more impressive by the fact that the team did it without All-American Grace Berger. Both the offense and defense remained elite without her, though, and the Hoosiers never missed a step.

While Holmes led the team in scoring, Parrish's breakout performance, including a 14-point third quarter, was the biggest surprise of the night. Sara Scalia's shooting and all-around performances from Chloe Moore-McNeil and Yarden Garzon also stood out.

The show wraps by previewing a slew of games upcoming for IU this weekend, including Big Ten openers at Rutgers and at home against Illinois for the men's and women's basketball teams, respectively. The soccer team looks for a spot in the College Cup on Saturday as they travel to UNC-Greensboro.
