After helping save the Hoosiers on Friday, it's time for Mike Woodson to move Tamar Bates into the starting lineup for IU basketball. Bates has played well this season off the bench and looks to have made the leap in his sophomore season that should move him into the starting lineup.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) makes the case for Bates to start over Trey Galloway after another strong performance against Kennesaw State. With the Hoosiers' offense in a rut, Bates could step into the starting lineup and provide a spark to help jumpstart them.

Inserting Bates into the lineup could be one way to help fix IU's offense, but there are a number of things that need to happen to overhaul it. After looking good playing small ball against the Owls, is that a viable option for IU when Trayce Jackson-Davis returns?

The show wraps by looking at some of the positives about the Hoosiers through the non-conference season. TJD looks to be That Guy, Jalen Hood-Schifino is ready for the spotlight and IU still is a team that could be an elite side by season's end.
