James Houston is one of the best HBCUs players in the NFL Draft, even drawing comparisons to Micah Parsons from Deion Sanders. He played linebacker at University of Florida before transferring to Jackson State and switching to defensive end. There he found his niche rushing the passer. He’s shown the ability to still play on both levels at times but is best at defensive end.
I join Locked On NFL to discuss the top HBCU prospects. We also discuss some prospects who have not received the same amount of attention. What is the quickest route to the field for late round players?
Every NFL team gets 30 in house visits from players before the draft. What does a top 30 visit even mean? It doesn’t guarantee a draft spot, but it does signify how teams are looking at prospects.
