Alcorn State vs Texas Southern is a basketball game I was intensely paying attention to due to the quality of both teams. Alcorn was an undefeated team. On Friday, I talked about the 3 game winning streak TSU was on. The former is still true but the latter isn't. A strong first half let Alcorn have enough cushion to weather a late TSU storm.

Grambling just handed Southern their first loss. No it's not the Bayou Classic. The game was basically even not just from the eye test but also from the stats. Grambling was able to win the matchup due to timely plays at the end of the game to put it away.

Norfolk State is also undefeated in the MEAC after stomping Delaware State. Their matchup vs Howard was much different.
