The Iowa Hawkeyes made an odd decision recently, letting the leaders of The Swarm (Iowa's biggest NIL collective) know the university would no longer directly involve itself in the efforts the group makes to raise money for Hawkeye athletes. It's one of the first examples of a school directly preventing NIL involvement after the floodgates opened, so why make the change? Nate Dickinson is joined by Trent Condon from Locked On Hawkeyes to try and figure out what's going on with the Hawkeyes.
Later, Nate previews the first Big Ten bowl game of the season between the Wisconsin Badgers and the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. Both the Pokes and Badgers will play without their starting quarterbacks, but Nate says the look of this game plays more toward the Wisconsin strengths.
