No. 6 seed Creighton defeated third-seeded Baylor 85-76 on Sunday night in the second round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament to advance to the Sweet 16 for the second time in three seasons. Ryan Nembhard led Creighton with a career-high 30 points, shooting 45.8% from 3-point range and going 10 for 10 from the free-throw line. Baylor struggled to contain Creighton's outside shooting, focusing heavily on big man Ryan Kalkbrenner. Baylor's LJ Cryer finished with 30 points, but freshman Keyonte George was held to seven points. Creighton will face 15th-seeded Princeton in Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday. Creighton extended their lead and pumped up the crowd with back-to-back 3-pointers from Francisco Farabello and Nembhard. Baylor had a chance to cut into Creighton's lead but turnovers prevented them from making a comeback. Creighton improved their all-time record in the tournament to 18-24, while Baylor's record under coach Scott Drew is now 19-10.
