After winning the Big 12 Tournament Championship by defeating the Kansas Jayhawks, the Texas Longhorns have become one of the most successful teams in college basketball. With a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, many experts are predicting that the Longhorns will make it to the Final Four.

CBS Sports analysts Set David and Jay Wright both selected the Longhorns to make it to the Final Four. David picked Texas to come out of the Midwest, while Wright chose them as his runner-up to national champion Kansas. Both analysts also chose Alabama and Marquette to advance from their respective regions.

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith did not include the Longhorns in his Final Four projections, selecting Alabama, UCLA, Indiana, and Duke instead. It remains to be seen whether the Longhorns can meet the high expectations placed upon them.

Interim head coach Rodney Terry has done an excellent job in leading the team to success, and the Longhorns seem to be heading in the right direction as they prepare for the tournament.
