Word came down from the Colorado Avalanche yesterday that Nathan MacKinnon will miss the next 4 weeks due to the injury sustained against the Philadelphia Flyers.

It's just the latest blow in a season filled with injuries to the Avalanche. A positive way to look at it? Everyone on that injured list should be back within a month, including Gabriel Landeskog.

But make no mistake, the next month is going to be a very trying time for the Avs, and players are going to have to shoulder a much heavier load than they are used to.
