It was like a preseason lineup against a team putting their best players out on the ice.
But the young prospects made the Boston Bruins work for their four goals, and in the end, it was a massive learning experience that we can hope will only help the current Avalanche squad improve as the month goes on.
The Avalanche did their best, and never quit against Boston, but to shut this Bruins team down for a full 60 minutes was a lot to ask. But, it does make you feel good about going up against a team maybe not as stellar as Boston is.
