Some will say they saw a trap game coming a mile away, and if the Avs ended up losing against the Seattle Kraken, they would have been right. The Colorado Avalanche didn't play their best game of hockey Monday night against the Seattle Kraken. In fact, the team they beat 7-3 not that long ago held a 3-1 lead late in the 2nd period. But we know how this Avalanche team can score, and with their back against the wall they did just that.
Devon Toews redirected a puck past former Avalanche Philipp Grubauer with his skate to tie it, the Nazem Kadri finally was able to get one past Gru after five unsuccessful attempts prior for the game winner.
It wasn't pretty, but the Avs continue their winning ways with their 5th in a row and 12th straight at home.
