Break out the brooms! The Colorado Avalanche sweep the St. Louis Blues in round one of the playoffs

The Colorado Avalanche did not go the route of resting anyone while up 3-0 in the series with St. Louis. Instead, they had the mindset to end the series now, rest later. That's exactly what they did. Colorado gave up the first goal, a second period goal by Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko, but before the period was over the Avs found themselves leading 2-1 after Brandon Saad and Gabriel Landeskog found the net.

All in all, this series was dominated by the Avs. And now they wait. Will it be Vegas or will it be Minnesota. They will have to be ready for either.
