Like Vincent Gambini in My Cousin Vinny, you win some you lose some. For the Colorado Avalanche, last night was the latter.

The Avs threw 47 shots at St. Louis Blues goalie Jordan Binnington but could only find the back of the net twice, while St. Louis had two "excuse me" goals, then another by Jordan Kyrou to leave Denver with a much needed win for the Blues.

Colorado found themselves with the very rare 6-on-3 power play at the end of the game, but overpassing and missed chances prevented the game from going into extra minutes.

It's a frustrating loss, no doubt. But while the Avs missed a chance to put more distance between them and St. Louis there is still a decent amount of good to be found in the loss.
