It was equal parts good, bad, sloppy, ugly, and exciting! And in the end, it was the Colorado Avalanche keeping the Minnesota Wild winless as they doubled up the Wild, 6-3, to get back in the win column.
The Avs also got wonderful goaltending from Alexander Georgiev in key moments following bad play and turnovers from his teammates. Exactly what you want to see from the goalie the Avs traded for.
While there is a lot in the matchup the Avs will put behind them and chalk up to it being game #3 of the season, there is still a lot to pull out of this game and build upon to get to their final form.
But one thing that needs improvement ASAP is the penalty kill. It's rough right now.
