Are There Any Former Avs Still Playing We Would Welcome Back? Goodbye Sports Illustrated?

For the most part, when a player leaves a team, they almost never return. Sure you'll get a player returning in the twilight of his career for one last season or those infamous "one day contracts", but a player leaving a team only to come back a couple years later is pretty rare.

But what former Avalanche players who are currently still in the league with other teams would we welcome back. Whether it's because he could be useful or we just simply loved having him as part of the Avalanche.

We also take a trip down memory lane and remember Sports Illustrated. We could very soon see the end of the publication, and while it does make sense considering how we digest sports news these days, it was still a surprise to hear.

Finally, the Avs are back in action Wednesday night against the Washington Capitals. Why we are feeling overly confident about two points with this one.
