Co-host and founder of Living Wholehearted and Courageous Girls, Terra Mattson, is kicking off a March series focusing on women and leadership. Most of you listening this month are probably women, but if you are a man, don’t turn this episode off! You will better understand your colleagues and bosses, your sisters and your wife, and be better equipped to raise healthy daughters if you keep listening this month!

Terra is excited to have Living Wholehearted teammates, Audra Mahoney, MA LPC Associate and Connie Armerding, MA on the podcast. Audra and Connie are both female leaders who walk with leaders and understand the unique challenges women face in both the home and workplace as they trust God to live out of the call on their life. In episode 120, these three women talk about the reality of juggling motherhood, marriage, and their responsibilities. They share about their own journey toward understanding healthy leadership as well as the common lies they have faced (and are facing) as they shrink their own integrity gaps.

Audra Mahoney has a Masters in Professional Counseling. She has worked in as a Child Protective Services Social Worker and she received certified training in domestic violence, substance abuse, child abuse, and addiction and taught human sexuality courses at a NW college. She is a certified Mending the Soul facilitator, passionate about spiritual formation, and one of our faithful counselors at LW. She is also a speaker and an ordained minister with the Foursquare Church and has served on the National Cabinet and Divisional Council Boards. She and her husband, Andy, are lead pastors of a local church in Portland, Oregon, and are raising 3 kids. We will have Andy and Audra coming back to talk about leading as a couple later this year.

Connie Armerding is on our LW team as Executive Coach & Leadership Consultant. She is a published writer, speaker, and Licensed Pastor. She has published with Propel Women, Patheos, and is a key contributor to the Friendzy Social Emotional Learning Curriculum produced by Joy of It. Her passion is for equipping ministry and marketplace leaders through creating spiritually and emotionally healthy cultures among leaders and in their communities. She holds degrees from Wheaton College in Interpersonal Communication (BA) and a Masters in Leadership (MA 2022). She is raising four children with her husband, Taylor, here in the greater Portland area.
