In this episode, Dr. Gina discusses different factors that contribute to a child’s anxiety: overprotection; helicopter/snowplow parenting; parental anxiety; too much exposure to screens.

And the solutions: allow your kids to fail, don’t rescue them from difficult emotions but support them, be a soft place to land on, and allow them to experience life’s challenges as it will build resiliency and self-esteem; they need to experience life first-hand; learn about the developmental stages of your child and learn to let go accordingly; most of all model healthy behaviour.
