About Alison Bladh:

Alison Bladh is a registered nutritional therapist and beauty therapist living in the wilds of Sweden after falling for the charms of a Viking man!  Having worked in the health and wellness industry of over 30 years specialising in menopausal women’s health she now runs her own online clinic helping women worldwide manage the negative symptoms of menopause. Her mission is to support her clients with bespoke changes to diet, health and lifestyle so they can harness their hormones and get their confidence and sparkle back.

She believes that all women, no matter what age, deserve to reclaim their health and feel great. Life is too short to suffer symptoms that hold you back! Every woman has the right to feel and look amazing in midlife.

She supports time-poor, busy midlife women who are stressed, depressed, gained weight, and have lost their confidence amongst other things!

When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, being in the kitchen and experimenting with new recipe ideas. She is also a keen scuba diver, golfer, hiker, beekeeper and enjoys being in the great outdoors.

 

What We Discuss In This Episode:

Alison and I discuss the 3 stages of “menopause” and how it can affect you.

Starting with women’s skin health, as an aesthetician, Alison learned how we can take care of our skin during perimenopause and menopause and Alison gives some tips for taking care of your skin during this period of life. But remember, it’s not just about the outside though, but the inside really matters.

Alison discusses how taking care of the “gut” can be key in giving you the support and help you need during this period of unease, especially when it comes to our inner health and balance.

There are so many things that we, as women, are going through during this phase of life, and Alison reminds us of all the wonderful things women in midlife should be proud of, and how we can use this time of life to fully enjoy our life and even have a fresh start and a fresh perspective on life.

We talk about how to balance the hormones during this phase of life and Alison gives some great solutions to how to get through this phase to balance our lives.
