Summary for 05-21-2023 – Simply Jesus – Part 3
In this week’s gathering, we begin by partaking in Holy Communion. Jesus is the center and focus of communion. As we participate in this act, we call to remembrance who Jesus is and bring into the know the significance of what he has done.
After communion we continue with our in depth study of the simplicity of Jesus by working through John Chapter 1, verses 1 through 18 (John 1:1-18). Looking at those verses we see that Jesus came to address humanity’s perception problem. These verses explicitly state that Jesus is the Word of God. Every single person has contact with the Word as light and life (Jesus) are said to be in all persons. The problem is not all of us have fully perceived His greatness and vastness. So, our journey to greater understanding continues.
