Summary from August 14, 2022 – Do I Really Have to Diminish? A look at John 3:30
Frequently in Christian circles people are told that they have to diminish, to become something less than who they truly are, so that Christ may increase. In this week’s gathering we discuss how the concept of diminishing in nature and function is an incorrect interpretation of John 3:30. John the Baptist was a representation of the law and therefore once Jesus arrived on the scene as grace and mercy, the law had to decrease or diminish in importance. This verse invites a change of perspective from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant.
