What does it mean to be self-made?
Straight out of the dictionary:
“Self made is when someone who acquires her wealth and success on her own and does not inherit or win it. It takes time and persistence to become successful and if you've put in the work then that's declared self made.
Someone who comes from some origin - rich or poor, and against all odds, breaks out of her inherited social position, climbs up the social ladder and creates a new identity for herself.”
In this episode, Helen Ngo shares why she personally strives to live up to the definition of being self-made and how the money making process is part of the journey.
