Following Your Passion Doesn’t Always Lead to Profits

There’s a difference between pursuing your passion and actually being able to turn it into a business that makes money to sustain your lifestyle. That’s why many people who go all in pursuing their passion get disappointed in themselves. They stop doing what they love because they didn’t know how to make money doing it. Don’t get your dreams crushed without first building a plan of pursuit.

Let’s not continue to give ourselves false hope that just because we have a passion for something, that we would be able to 100% pursue it without learning how to be a business owner first.

It’s everyone’s dream to “go do what we’re passionate” about and be able to make money by doing it. But what’s the reality of it?

Most pursue their passions and get disappointed when it doesn’t turn into profits. Let’s not continue to get confused about doing what you love and being able to make money by doing it.

Unless you’re willing to become a full time business owner and are willing to learn how to be a good one, that passion project needs to remain a hobby – a thing you do in your spare time.

Face the reality that passion alone doesn’t pay the bills. Knowing how to own and run a business does.
