Today’s episode features a personal shero of mines, Kristiana Huitron, she is the Executive Director of Voces Unidas for Justice, a non profit with a mission to provide an environment for Latinas embracing the richness of our identities while building empowerment & leadership around issues of justice, equality, & safety; with the main objectives of access to safety services, creating community-based advocacy for accessing social networks and services, and building community leadership in order to end domestic and sexual violence, and stalking for all people. I am always amazed by her commitment to addressing issues facing minority communities and providing culturally relevant programs for both Adults and Youth. Finding her way to her calling wasn't an easy journey but she answered the call anyway and followed her journey that led to her doing this much needed work in the community. Come hear more about this incredible womxn and be inspired just like I constantly am.
