Juneteenth is a holiday to celebrate the day Union troops went to Galveston, TX, in 1865, to declare freedom for all slaves. The Emancipation Proclamation, however, had been enacted 2.5 years earlier, yet it took that long for the news to reach Galveston. It's a great metaphor for how we live. Prophets and teachers have been coming into our lives to remind us that we ARE free, that we do not have to live enslaved to thoughts fear, shame, guilt, unworthiness, or other limiting beliefs that keep us from truly living! l Listen as I explain:
