Let's Talk About Race joins co-hosts Diane Wong and Pharaoh Saunders in a discussion of Blackface and Appropriation. Why is it coming up strongly now? How does our white supremacist society factor in to some of our white citizens joy in appearing in blackface? What does it all mean? Why is there pushback against white appropriation of black culture, ideas and concerns? What about black appropriation of white beauty, eg hair, features, skin color, etc? What does it all mean?
