If you've read any issues of Volks World over the past 20 years I'm certain you know the name Paul Medhurst from his early days with the square back they gave him the nickname "Puppy". Setting off early in his days to roam the world his experience was cut short due to lack of funds. After he spent some money buying a lot of type three parts posting them for sale in the magazine advert Paul came back to an answering machine full of request for parts. Asking his friend Ivan to use the name type three detectives Paul then kicked off a successful business supplying NOS type three parts in the early days of his career. Seeing the change evolve into lots of buses being put back on the road it was only natural that the transition was made to type two detectives. It's good to hear the stories from the enthusiast that turn their hobby into a career and the path he took to do it.
