Today on The Kondrat Podcast, I sat down with Jermoy Farkas, Ward 11 Councillor and 2021 Mayoral Candidate in Calgary, Alberta.  As a born and raised Calgarian, Jeromy is passionate about our city.  We discuss his journey, his love for politics, and why he thinks he’s the right person to lead Calgary into the future.

Jeromy was elected as the Ward 11 Councillor in 2017 with the promise to bring fiscal restraint, accountability, transparency and integrity back to City Hall. His decision to run for mayor was in response to a need for change and new leadership that will stand up for Calgarians.

Jeromy was born and raised in Calgary in the community of Dover by his Hungarian parents who fled communist oppression in their homeland. He wants to work with Calgarians to write the next chapter of opportunity for our great city.  "I'd say it really comes back to opportunity. Giving Calgarians the same hope and opportunities to succeed that I had growing up in the city is so important to me.”

It has been great to share the stories of Mayoral candidates on my podcast.  Allowing people to express themselves freely through honest conversation is a great way to learn what they stand for.  I’m grateful that Jeromy took the time to join me - I hope you enjoy our surprising interesting conversation.
