Today on The Kondrat Podcast, I sat down with Trevor Huggins & Matt Boudreau - Owners of Five’21 Roasters. These guys live busy and admittedly “complicated” lives.  Matt recently left his banking career to focus on Five’ 21 Roasters full-time,  and Trevor is a full-time firefighter.  We discuss their purpose as a company, how they are making the community a better place, and the challenges involved in growing a business in today’s crazy world.

In order to make the most of each day Matt and Trevor focus on living intentionally.  “We Fuel Intentional Living. What fuelling intention means to us is that we start our days with a sense of purpose, sitting over that first cup to plan out how to make the most of today. That starts with our families, setting the right example for our children, down to where we source our beans and the companies we collaborate with along the way.”

Making a positive impact in a global community is challenging and we discuss how Five’21 Roasters makes a difference.  “Unless you physically know the farmer your coffee beans are sourced from, then you’re trusting industry distributors who are simply looking to make a profit. It’s cutting through all that to ensure we are doing the best we can with the coffee we are importing and roasting.

And the name?  Where does Five’ 21 come from?  You’ll have to listen to our surprisingly interesting conversation to hear that story!
