Today on The Kondrat Podcast, I sat down with Teddy Ogbonna - a 2021 Calgary Mayoral Candidate. Teddy is the founder of Youth for Transparency International which envisions a world where young people take the lead as active participants in deciding and changing all levels of development and policy making. We discuss his unique journey and what has inspired him to be Calgary’s next mayor.
Teddy was born and raised in Nigeria before travelling the world and coming to Canada to study Law & Society and Political Science at the University of Calgary. He founded Youth for Transparency International to empower young people and entrepreneurs to be a positive “change agent” in their communities across the globe.
If he becomes the next mayor, Teddy plans to bring the same passion and energy to make Calgary that he has for Youth for Transparency International. His goal is to be remembered as someone that made a difference in service for humanity and believes strongly that “ideas change the world.”
