Beyond the Lashes: Retirement Planning For Beauty Industry Veterans

That’s exactly what we’re talking about on today’s episode.

My guest today is Natalie, a lash artist from the UK with 7 years of experience in the industry. She works from home and loves her clients, but also knows she doesn’t want to be taking appointments forever. She reached out to me because she was feeling stuck in what the next step was in her business that would allow her to stop taking clients while still bringing in income and setting herself up for retirement. She says:

“In the UK, our retirement age is about 67. And I know that there's absolutely no way at 67 years old, I'm going to want to be service based. So I know I'm sort of 37 years [away from] this, but what's the point in having a business and working so hard and gaining all of these clients, if effectively in 10 years time, if you're not fit enough to do this role? What's the point of all this hard work?”

In this episode, Natalie and I  talk through some of the  different options she has to leverage her skills and experience to generate income in - or out - of the beauty industry that  would allow her to stop trading her time for money. PLUS I  lead Natalie through a simple visualization exercise that gives her that AH-HA  moment of what she wants to do next in her business - and we get super clear on what the very first step should be in working towards that.
