“I am by no means an academic snob, I am not qualified to be one. I am not superior to anyone, the average chimp likely has a higher IQ. However, I do appreciate and value a conversation of substance over fluff any day of the week. I prefer to think deeply and to consider tough subjects I do not agree with initially. It perhaps is a Machiavellian and self serving of me to project this same ideological position on ‘great leaders’. I receive such criticism as potentially valid. However, if the shallow talk of the day is all you have time and energy to invest in with me, I would rather do the laundry or mow the yard whilst eves dropping on someone else’s deeper conversation via podcast.” J Loren Norris
