Sexual abuse is a pervasive issue that affects millions of people around the world. It can take many forms, from unwanted touching to rape, and it can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background.
Our guest today is someone who has survived sexual abuse and found a way to reclaim their power and their voice. Anna Ditchburn, who has survived sexual abuse that has resulted in two forced abortions and eighteen consecutive miscarriages has now made it her life mission to help others heal from their own traumas through hypnotherapy and the practice of NLP.
Anna's story is a testament to the human spirit's capacity for healing and transformation.
In this episode, Anna shares the heartbreaking experience of abuse that she has experienced which started from when her biological father left their family when she was four. Growing up in Russia in the 90's, this has made it difficult for a single mom to earn money for a family of 3 and at the age of 4, Anna had to grow up too quickly to survive and help take care of her younger brother. At 10 years old, a monster in disguise came into their lives in the form of their stepfather, who they quickly realized is not going to be their knight in shining armor.
