LM55 Laughter Matters-There is a child that was left behind

Laughter Matters, Episode 55, 1/7/20

I hate with telemarketers ask stupid questions. Recently the phone rings, “Excusement me, sir, do you own your home?”

“Lady, it’s two o’clock on a Tuesday afternoon, thats a game show you hear in the back ground, what are the odds I have a job?”

And the thing I hate most is they interrupt my favorite show, The Family Feud. I love the Feud because every family on there is required to have one idiot…to give the most moronic answer to the question. I saw them as a woman once, “What month to do women start showing when they’re pregnant,” and the lady said, “September.” Now there’s a child that was left behind.

Yesterday I spoke for a school’s professional development meeting and I reminded the teachers that, although the calendar says both semesters have the same number of days, second semester has to be twice as long as first and to help reduce their stress, I encourage them to take time every week to enjoy things they find funny, movies, podcasts, television shows, books.

Dr. Lee Burk at Loma Linda University has done lots of research on the positive effects of humor on humans and he has proven conclusively that you not only receive the benefits of humor while you’re laughing, you receive the benefits when you begin anticipating laughing. If you know you are going to do something every week that makes you laugh, you not only receive the benefits while you’re laughing, but when you anticipate laughing. Take time every week to laugh.

And if you would like 90 minutes of non-stop laughter, check our our Baby Boomer Comedy Show, CLEAN, stand-up Comedy for People Born Before Seat Belts that will be at the Dallas Theater in Dallas, GA this Saturday night, January 11, 2020 at 7 pm and always remember laughter matters.
