A few years ago I was driving home in an Iowa blizzard where the snow is coming down so hard you couldn’t see out the windshield, I’m having to look out the side windows to stay on the one lane of interstate that is plowed. I couldn’t pull off because I’d be past the exit before I’d see the sign. When I got home, I tell Twyla, “My plan was to drive until I wrecked, then I’d figure out what to do.”
She says, “That is pretty much how you’ve lived your life.” The woman is not wrong.
