LM1202 Stuck in Dayton

LM, Episode 1202, 4/4/23, Stuck in Dayton

Last weekend I was doing a set at the comedy club in Dayton.  Driving home the traffic is crawling on I75 south when I see a road sign saying two right lanes closed ahead.  The problem was there are only two lanes on the interstate. I wondered if we were just going to sit in traffic for the multiple years it takes for the Ohio Department of Transportation to finish a road project?  Good thing I brought granola bars.

Or, maybe they have a bunch of burley men ahead who are carrying one car at a time through the construction zone.  That’d be cool.

Then it dawned on me.  Dayton, OH is the birthplace of the Wright brothers, the birthplace of aviation.  I bet everyone in Dayton has a flying car, which means I am stopping at the first Dayton car dealer and trading in the Honda Civic with the naked lady mud flaps for a flying car because it’d sure make going through Indiana easier.

Unfortunately, they have a single file line of cars driving on the shoulder of the road through the construction zone.  I was so disappointed.

Take care and always remember laughter matters.
