Today is Palm Sunday when Christians celebrate Jesus’ triumphantly riding a donkey into Jerusalem.
Although we don’t attend church, we do enjoy those funny church signs like, “Seven days without Jesus makes one weak,” and weak is spelled w-e-a-k. 0“Tweet others as you’d like to be tweeted.” My favorite is, “Honk if you love Jesus. Text while driving if you want to meet him.”
One Palm Sunday when our children were young, we’re driving and Twyla says, “You never see a funny church sign for Palm Sunday.”
I go, “I’ve got it. Jesus is riding my ass.” It was a long walk home, but, in Twyla’s defense, she didn’t want the kids to be that close to a lightning strike.
