This week I speak to Sophie Cafolla founder of The Stork Box and mum of two on building a brand, being a working mum and how important it is to remain open minded when it comes to developing ideas.

The Stork Box was a concept designed to be a hospital bag, then pivoted to an e-commerce store to meet demand, to launching their flagship store in the coming weeks.

In this episode we explore the influences Sophie had growing up; how being an entrepreneur can both be terrifying and challenging. The importance of surrounding yourself with the right network, how taking on board feedback could change the direction and focus of your business if you are willing to listen.

If you are an entrepreneur starting out Sophie recommends one of the first things to do it reach out to your local enterprise office as the first step:

LocalEnterprise.ie

Goingforgrowth.com

Sophie talks openly about how difficult it is to build a brand and a family simultaneously and her struggles conceiving.

Trigger warnings:

In this episode we talk very candidly miscarriage, if you are the 1 in 4 women affected by this you can reach out and speak to miscarriage.ie.

This is episode 2 in the 8-part series of Ladies of Measure.
