The newest episode of Ladies Knight features host Jennifer Shahade in conversation with our new U.S. Women’s Open Champion, Megan Lee. Jennifer interviews Megan live from the Las Vegas Chess Festival. Now based in Seattle, 22-year-old Lee is a graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design. In her conversation with Jennifer, she explains why she calls herself a “maker”, as well as a designer and photographer. Her projects have ranged from chairs to wallets to a chess set, and you can browse through her impressive portfolio at https://www.meleeproductions.com/.

Megan is also a big fan of chess variants, and she talks to Jen about Seirawan Chess, Chess 960 and her favorite, bughouse. She even reveals the results of two bug games she played against World #2 Fabiano Caruana when he visited Rhode Island.

Finally, Megan talks about her toughest game at the U.S. Women’s Open, a victory against Claudia Munoz of Texas Tech University.
