Utah Governor Gary Herbert has asked the Bureau of Land Management to defer two parcels of land in Sand Flats Recreation Area currently nominated for oil and gas development. His request comes after Moab elected officials and outdoor recreation outfitters called on him to speak up for the recreation economy and precious water resources. Plus, Grand County, Moab City, and the Town of Castle Valley voted unanimously to support a resolution encouraging the Utah Legislature to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. Tune in.
