While Arches and Canyonlands remain closed to the public, other National Parks in Utah are announcing slow reopenings to some recreational use. Spokespeople for the NPS have said these decisions are made on a park-by-park basis and in concert with state and local health authorities. Today on the news, we learn how the Southeast Utah Group of the National Parks is working with our local health officials to determine the safest timeline for reopening. Plus, our partners at KSJD speak with the superintendent of Mesa Verde National Park. And, on the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Native Women and Girls, a feature story from our partners at UPR on work being done in Utah to address this important issue.
