Moab Regional Hospital staff are urging Governor Gary Herbert to shut down all non-essential business service in Moab including restaurants, lodging, and – if its in his ‘realm of influence' - the National Parks. Their top staff wrote Herbert a letter Monday, saying that most projections place the United States roughly two weeks behind Italy in terms of a likely surge in cases of COVID-19. To avoid the same fate – where the number of patients exceed the capacity of healthcare services - they said “we need to do more now.” On Monday we spoke with Jen Sadoff, Moab Regional Hospital CEO, to learn more about their position and preparedness.
