The Trump Administration approved new management plans last week for the reduced Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalante National Monuments. Critics were quick to denounce the monument management plans, which came two years after President Trump drastically reduced their boundaries. Indigenous-led Utah Diné Bikéyah dismissed the Bears Ears plan as part of a broader problem that leaves Indigenous Peoples out of decisions for sacred lands.
