With coronavirus upending traditional ad campaigns, experts are re-assessing what marketing Utah’s outdoor recreation economy could look like. So what about increased diversity? In racial justice conversations, Moab community members are asking how advertising could bring more people of color to our community. We speak with Elaine Gizler, executive director of the Moab Area Travel Council. Plus, Diné Pride celebrates this week while working for significant change on the Navajo Nation.

And later (16:00), we round out the week with Doug McMurdo, editor of The Times-Independent. He discusses some of their top stories including Moab City sales tax coming in higher than expected, an analysis of current law enforcement policies against the #8CANTWAIT campaign, and San Juan County’s pause on plans for Spanish Valley.
