The Gaden Shartse monks have returned to Nevada County with help from The Sierra Friends of Tibet and will be giving talks and creating a sand mandala at the Banner Grange in Grass Valley through Friday, February 9th. Their traditional Animal Blessing will take place at Animal Save on February 4th. Sierra Friends of Tibet has teamed up with the Onyx theater to screen “Journey From Zanskar,” a story about 17 Tibetan children who leave home in order to save their dying culture.
