The Nevada County Youth Commission is a group of students ages 14 to 19 whose mission is to identify, connect, and advocate for the issues facing Nevada County Youth. The Commission serves as a bridge between the youth and the Nevada County Board of Supervisors and provides recommendations to the Board to facilitate positive change. Recently some of the Commission's founding members joined County Executive Officer Alison Lehman and Youth Leadership Development Project Coordinator Jeff Dellis in the studios of KVMR to discuss how the Commission was formed and what the first year was like.
