On tonight's California Report: mask mandates are dropping throughout the state but they’ll remain at immigration detention centers where COVID-19 is spreading and booster shots are hard to come by. Then in National Native News, a 29 year-old cold case comes to a close. Steven Downs has been convicted of the 1993 murder of Sophie Sergie at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, but at a vigil for Sergie held Friday, the Fairbanks Native Association said unsolved homicides of Alaska Native women need more resources. After local news and weather we hear from science correspondent Al Stahler.
