In our first episode, we dive into the life story of James Crawford and his turning points that include the loss of his grandfather, the only significant male elder in his life, and the bewildering circumstances in which he met his father at the age of 22. Crawford is a young Black educator from Pennsylvania, a high school basketball coach, and, above all, a father of two beautiful children. In our conversation, Crawford opens up about how this loss and trauma molded him into the person and father he is today.
