I am inspired to give this topic a try after seeing someone give a message to his past self as a sort of reflection.  I also want to do it since I just recently celebrated my birthday.  I mean, it may never happen.  I might never be able to talk to my past self (unless we invent and perfect time travel, Avengers: Endgame style), but being able to reflect on my present and having it connect to my past and my future seems like a good activity (mental health-wise).

 I hope you learn something from my short reflection.  It's not much but if you feel stuck at this point in your life, I recommend giving this activity a try.  It might just help you see how far you've come at present.  At least that's how I feel after recording this episode. :)  Hope it helps!
